Tom is in charge of the Engineering aspect of the practice, focusing on delivering designs that are both economical and efficient for all client projects. The practice's varied experience with projects of different scales and types has given Tom extensive experience across multiple sectors and materials, which he uses to create sustainable and economical products for both new and existing clients.
Tom is committed to expanding his career experience in all areas of Structural and Civil Engineering, and together with his team, aims to apply modern sustainable construction methods to their work.

Edward Parsley are one of the best in the business. They're very thorough in all aspects of their architectural skills, from the initial design process through to the planning application. Scott Andrews was assigned to my project and very professional throughout the whole process. They listen to what you would like to achieve with your property and also offer alternative constructive ideas for your consideration.
Although they're not the cheapest or quickest in the business, if you're ultimately looking to get a planning consent Edward Parsley will certainly give you a good chance to succeed.

Excellent fast service and a great design for our groundwork that was not 'over-engineered to be on the safe side.'
Building control even commented on it saying ' it’s a nice simple design when compared with other raft foundations we see. It will work nicely.'

We had a structural engineer report done on the safety of a very tall and leaning chimney running up and beyond (by a long way) the side of our 500 year old Grade 2 listed farmhouse. The service was professional and efficient. The report was detailed and clear about what needed to be done. Excellent, reliable service all round. Thank you!

EPA were recommended by the Architect and following the first meeting I was pleased with their presentation on all structural design matters for the planning application.
During the contract, Their pro-active approach in working with the design team was excellent and any design changes were dealt with promptly to minimize time and cost delays.
Their working relationship with Building Control was excellent.
I would, without hesitation recommend EPA for any Structural Consultation Engineering design services.

We recently bought a dilapidated barn to convert into a home. Having talked with several structural engineers we were impressed with the expertise and professionalism of Edward Parsley Associates.
They were a pleasure to work with, great service, responsive, speedy and good value too. We had initially planned simple underpinning but with their advice were able to use a raft foundation approach which was cost effective and much quicker. What a bonus in the storms of early 2020 to have a dry solid area to work within!! Thanks Guys!

We needed a reliable Structural Engineering firm for an Essex barn renovation and conversion project. We were recommended the services of these guys by our builder who had previously worked on a job where the client had happily used them. I'm pleased to report that we have found them to be thoroughly professional and responsive to our structural engineering work needs. Tom in particular has been really helpful and knowledgeable - their pricing is competitive too. Definitely to be recommended and used again.

We only used them for a small job. Needed a structural engineer to run a few calculations after building control complained that we hadn't had someone check it. Came out the next day and had the appropriate paperwork ready the following day. Polite, quick, comprehensive, and reasonably priced. Can't think what else I would want from the service.

I've worked with Edward Parsley for many years and have always found them totally professional, great at listening and responding to client briefs with creative and practical advice on a range of building challenges.
