Whether it’s designing a brand new, individual home right from the ground up or extending or adapting your present home with a loft, rear, side or basement extension, we can help you. We are a personal, professional architectural design team providing a highly competent, individual service at a competitive price. We’re based In South West London.
We will take you right through the whole job from initial design ideas to handing over to you a fully finished job.
Our design philosophy is to create exciting, modern, sustainable, creative buildings making best use of the site using healthy natural, modern, environmentally friendly materials which sit well in the environment.
All our projects are bespoke and our aim is to deliver to you a building or extension that you really love and are proud of, reflecting you and your family’s personality.

Our many years experience of commercial architectural design services offers us an insight into the mindset of Commercial clients. Beyond the requirement to deliver on budget and on schedule, we go one step further to introduce creative solutions that result in finished works that are highly regarded. We are also happy to be engaged for feasibility studies prior to a development taking place.

Cameron was absolutely brilliant in advising with the planning process, preparing the drawings and obtaining the successful approval of the planning application. Very professional, knowledgable and responsive to any queries during the process. We really liked his design that transformed our layout to our requirements with very realistic view on budget. A very hardworking and professional team of GBS nurtured our project like their own. The professionalism and confidence demonstrated can't be found elsewhere. Trusted builders are very difficult to find and I have been very lucky in this regard. They have been very good about resolving any issues that have not met my satisfaction. We picked GBS Architectural after seeing the great job they had done on Loft conversion for a friend of ours. The service provided by them has been outstanding from start to finish. They worked regular hours, 8 am to 4 pm every working day throughout the whole 10-week project, sometimes putting in longer hours when needed. Coming to the invoicing part, we got 6 formal receipts and the loft certificate from them soon after the completion of work. We have absolutely no hesitation in recommending these guys enough as they have made our loft conversion experience a "one to remember".

Excellent and Highly Professional Support and Advice from start to finish Ten out of Ten. I have recently used the services of GBS Architectural for my property renovation including side and rear extensions and internal renovations. I cannot speak highly enough of Guy Shorney who contract managed the project for me. He has excellent knowledge of dealing with planning applications and building regulations.
As well as producing innovative and accurate drawings he also provided good advice and creative solutions. Guy kept me informed and updated at every stage of the process, was supportive, patient, professional and a pleasure to work with. His support was invaluable to me at what was an anxious and stressful time, as this was the first time I had embarked on such a project! He is also supported by his very helpful team in the office. I cannot recommend GBS Architectural highly enough, excellent service indeed.

Guy is dedicated to providing an outstanding service level and is extremely patient and client focused. Given the worries we also had over choosing a reputable builder, Guy was also able to recommend a trusted builder contact who was also excellent, hard working and I must say very reasonably priced with an excellent standard of finish and work quality.
I would not hesitate to use GBS again for my next renovation project - it just isn't worth taking the very real risk with a different Designer or Builder when Guy and his team score 10/10.
