The pursuit and interpretation of 'light' is the core of Horden Cherry Lee Architects' design. Lightness and lightweight are our prime aesthetic and functional objectives. We seek to build delicate frameworks that house spaces for imagination and interpretation, filled with light, places which inspire, where volume and nature can be viewed, where people can live, work, communicate and move through with a lightness of spirit.

Hcl architects (Horden Cherry Lee Architects) is based in central London and was established in 1999 by Richard Horden, Stephen Cherry and Billie Lee. Over nearly 20 years we have earned a reputation for designing and delivering high quality architecture across many building types and have received a range of national and local awards.

The following books and brochures have been developed to illustrate and communicate our skills in providing unique solutions for unique sites, and in delivering high quality buildings for our clients. The publications second function is to convey our design ethos, methodology and sequence of work to design teams, consultants, and Architecture Schools and Universities from where we recruit talented young people to the practice.
