| Candidate CV resume: | WORK EXPERIENCE 2006 – 2010 Philip Dadds Architects & Associates Employed at the Practice for 4 years; originally in a part-time position during Part 2 course (Masters Degree), subsequently offered permanent post. Role included responsibility for the surveying and design of new build houses and flats including conversions of listed buildings. Assignments included working on several school projects – special needs school and childcare centre, which allowed development of architectural skills. Regularly completed concept packages using hand drawn visuals, which would include more than one design option to discuss with the client. Responsible for chairing site meetings and participated in issuing Architects Instructions, Interim Payment Certificates and Minutes. Involved liasing with the client and relevant parties to achieve prompt resolution. Involved in every RIBA stage including Planning, Building Regulations, Site Administration, Practical and Final Completion. Worked in partnership with a variety of professionals including Planners, Engineers, Quantity Surveyors, CDM Co-ordinators and Contractors. Have attended various CPD seminars and specified innovative products. Familiar with the CDM 2007 Regulations. 2008 – 2009 Part Time Tutor Part time tutor to a group of 18 first year students. Responsible for briefing them with a 6-week project, analysing their work on a week-to-week basis and providing them with feedback. The students were at different levels of ability and it was interesting and challenging trying to adapt discussions and tutorials to each individual. Critiqued a separate group of students at the end of the project. OTHER WORK EXPERIENCE (Part time to support education) 2003 – 2007 Woolworth’s Working within a team of people to complete tasks, sometimes within a fast paced environment. Necessitated the need to make decisions under pressure. 2001 – 2005 Benham’s Off Licence Developed skills of interacting with people had responsibility in helping customers and handling money. INTERESTS, ACTIVITIES AND VOLUNTARY WORK Volunteering: Run a weekly youth club for ages 14 – 18. This involves commitment and patience. It can be a challenge thinking of new and creative ways of entertaining teenagers. However, it is very enjoyable to share time with them. They are a diverse group, and provide a variety of pleasurable challenges. Model Making: Involved in model making for several years through education and have had a personal interest since a young age. During Part 2 of the course made a series of models at different scales from 1:1000 to 1:20. Sport: Enjoy exercising, participating in sports, playing football and squash regularly.
