| Candidate CV resume: | I have recently completed my Diploma in Architecture and an MSc in Sustainable Building at Oxford Brookes University. I am ambitious, conscientious and enthusiastic. I have a passion for sustainable design and more specifically for the way that environmentally responsible design can provide a source of education, inspiration and joy to building occupants. In addition to the more technical aspects of sustainable design, I have been able to explore the relationship between climate change, the built environment and building occupants through my MSc studies. My dissertation has been praised by staff at the university for its innovative approach in exploring these relationships and following their recommendations I am currently preparing a discussion paper to report on this research. My previous experience in practice, including working as project-lead on a large development, has given me substantial insight into the practical and technical aspects of realising a project. I have also played a key role in improving the practical experience gained by myself and other students, by organising a series of site visits as part of the Student Training Program at my previous practice and a number of workshops giving students hands-on experience of working with sustainable building materials as part of my role in the Oxford Architecture Society. I believe my studies and previous experience have given me a solid foundation in the principles of architectural practice and sustainable design. However, I am looking for a position in a practice dedicated to high quality sustainable design where I will be able to further my skills and expand my knowledge. |
