From Our Website

Pro Vision's team of qualified and Chartered professionals are able to provide a wide range of services to a variety of client -types. We are a practice of integrated development consultants, who work together alongside the client, statutory authorities and other consultants to provide carefully designed, context driven and client focused plans, buildings and ecological services. The different disciplines provided within our practice include Town Planning, Architecture, Urban Design and Ecology.

Urban Design is the process of designing and shaping cities, towns and villages. We work to ensure that the places that we make are attractive and functional employing principles of good spatial design. We believe that our urban spaces should not only function well but also have a tangible sense of place and identity, and we strive to demonstrate this within our designs. Our skilled professionals have the skills and experience to design and create harmonious urban spaces that respond to the needs of the client and the contextual setting.

Architecture is the process of shaping the built environment through design. Through our work we therefore aim to shape and enhance both buildings and the context around ensuring that our buildings respond to and respect the surrounding environment. We employ a team of Chartered Architects, technicians and assistants who all work together to design buildings that: are context driven; respond to the needs of the clients; are sustainable; and are inspiring places to inhabit. We have worked on a wide variety of projects ranging from house extensions to large scale mixed use development.

Following on from our previous blog[1], about Permission in Principle (PiP) as a fast-track route for securing planning permission for small scale development (up to 9 dwellings), we provide a brief update on how these new style applications have been faring in practice. The new year has arrived, and you might be starting to think about potential new projects. Many planning applications require ecological input prior to approval, this is becoming more relevant with the requirement for Biodiversity Net Gain in some council areas.

By harnessing the skills of our Town Planning Consultants, Urban Designers, Architects and Ecologists, we are well placed to achieve creative solutions across the whole spectrum of the development process and to produce successful and sustainable designs to meet our clients' needs. We aim to help achieve planning permission and sales values by providing the best quality design appropriate to the locality and the proposal. At the same time, we recognise the need to work on a basis of commercial realism.

We believe that houses should be inspiring places to live in. Whether designing a small extension or a large scale masterplan, we will look to consider functional requirements, aesthetic intent and sustainable design to create dwellings that promote wellbeing and create a sense of place. Design is always balanced by functional, market and client requirements and we ensure that we incorporate the needs and requirements of the client, designing within the parameters set by local planning authorities and the Building Regulations.
