The Jewish Blind and Disabled Charity (JBD), approached Moxley Architects to review an existing planning proposal that had received adverse comments from the local planning authority. The proposal was for an extension to their assisted living development at Cecil Rosen Court. JBD selected Moxley Architects for their strong track record for dealing with listed buildings and conservation areas and to also advise on how the scheme could be developed further. The original scheme was substantially revised following lengthy discussions with the client and planning officers and just four weeks after being commissioned, a new planning application was submitted for determination.
A project for The Grosvenor Estate, in the Mayfair Conservation Area, was the renovation of a Victorian property to provide one and two bedroom luxurious managed short let apartments. Moxley Architects were appointed by Somerston Hotels, owners and operators of hotels in the Express by Holiday Inn, Ramada and Hampton hotel brands. The commission was to identify the potential for expansion within existing sites and the opportunity for new standalone hotels. The short list of sites included two in each of Cambridge, Dartford, Bath, Glasgow, Exeter, Newcastle, York, Luton, Edinburgh, Greenwich and Hammersmith.
