Grace believes that architecture should be beautiful and uplifting. At the heart of the process are the people that architecture is made for. Grace enjoys understanding and collaborating with different people from different walks of life. She believes that every project is unique and works hard at crafting spaces that are thoughtful and a breath of fresh air, working with expert consultants to form a bespoke dedicated team appropriate to each project.
The practice specialises in community buildings, houses, small galleries and museums, churches and commercial buildings. The attitude is that whatever the budget, great spaces can still be created with care and attention.
Grace has taught at the Manchester School of Architecture, as part of the Continuity in Architecture atelier. She also teaches at Northumbria University. She was a Director and Trustee of The Mustard Tree charity for 7 years, a charity for the homeless and marginalised in Manchester and is still actively involved as Architectural Advisor for all building projects.
Thank you for your creative and practical plans for renovating our building for community and business use. We greatly valued your calm and professional approach. Now the building is almost complete we can see the amazing result as your drawings become reality.
We really enjoyed working with Grace on our house project. We were impressed with her attention to detail and her knowledge about buildings and contracts, as well as layouts and materials. We felt that she quickly understood what would work for us and our lifestyle. She is practical, creative, friendly and reliable- and is a great listener.
Grace did a fantastic job helping to create a great living space for us. She developed a design that meets all the needs for our family and created a home that works with our awkward garden. Our home is transformed.
