We approach every project with a personal touch, preferring to view your property or plot and talk through your hopes and aspirations. Whether your budget is 10,000 or 500,000, you need accurate, well-considered designs to be sure you are spending in the right areas and within your project budget. We will work with you to allocate funding according to priority and help you to keep the project on track. You can be assured that we will guide you through the consents needed for obtaining Planning Permission and Building Regulations Approval.


The initial brief for this project was to create a warmer ground-floor kitchen, a ground-floor WC, provide more connection with the rear garden from the house, remove the out-of-character rear porch, re-configure the first-floor bathrooms and bedrooms and create a his and hers walk-in dressing area. It also required some works to update the first-floor family bathroom and shower-room and totally renovate the existing driveway. The space that now exists serves the family well. The rear of the house is approached from the newly-finished driveway and entry is via the cedar-clad rear extension.


This scheme was developed in conjunction with our client's very specific brief for an industrial feel; a stylish home with open plan living, large amounts of natural light, energy efficiency and a good connection with its surrounding site. Located on the outskirts of a Conservation area, the site was purchased with outline planning in place. We worked with our client to develop the floor plans and elevations for a 4-bedroomed house of nearly 200 sq m and a full planning application was submitted to the local council.

In addition, we work with contractors and developers to provide feasibility study documents, planning packs and working drawings for commercial projects. Crescent Architects Ltd has recently completed a large new-build house which was featured on Channel 4's lifestyle programme "Building The Dream".


Crescent Architects Ltd structures the cost of our commission around the level of service that you require and we will discuss this during our first meeting. Once we have met we will send you a client pack which details fee proposals and further information about our services. Fees vary depending on the nature and scope of your project. For example, a typical small loft conversion could require little design work but will require more complex detail at construction stage, whereas a single-storey extension to a detached house may have many possibilities for planning but require simple construction details.


This cottage is a period property located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). The owners wanted to create an open, comfortable and modern home whilst retaining the character of the cottage. The brief was to create a new first-floor master bedroom suite and a guest suite with a new bathroom. To the ground-floor the accommodation was to offer a comfortable garden room, a cosy snug, a study and a modern functional kitchen with dining area. A luxury shower-room completed the ground-floor facilities.
